My name is Sidney and I’m an prize-winning* New York City-based photographer originally from Singapore. My work has been featured by Travel + Leisure, nycgo.com (NYC’s official guide) and Rizzoli Books, among others. And although I have traveled quite a bit (including, not long ago, Scotland, where I managed to sink myself waist-deep in a bog), my focus has always been on capturing the beauty of New York. 

True, some people think New York isn’t much to write home about, beauty-wise. It’s not Paris or Venice or Prague. Or even Boston. But that’s the fun and the challenge, to seek out the city’s visual magic. And it really is magical if you are willing to venture out to every borough in every weather, at all hours of the day and night, in all seasons. It’s what I love to do more than anything. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
